Shipping Policy

GENERAL

Airloom is primarily an online retailer. Our dispatch location is in Cape Town.

We ship nationally within South Africa, excluding PO Boxes, farms and rural areas. All goods in transit are insured.

This Shipping Policy excludes the Sample Service. The t’s and c’s of the Sample Service can be found here.

Shipping charges should be viewed as surcharges or estimates and are not necessarily reflective of the actual freight charge.

All flooring deliveries attract a surcharge, detailed under Delivery Charges below.

We ship to an address, not a person. This may mean that the parcel may be left with a responsible person at the specified address. This responsible person may include, and is not limited to, domestic assistants, security, etc. 

SHIPPING LEAD TIMES

From Cape Town, shipping to major centres in South Africa takes 2-4 days. Remote and rural areas may take up to 7 working days.

Deliveries take place during business hours.

DELIVERY CHARGES

Shipping on rugs is calculated at check out. All rug deliveries attract a surcharge of R95.

Larger, heavier and custom-size rugs attract an additional surcharge per item, which is calculated at checkout. On these rugs, the total additional surcharge is not more than R250 per item.

All flooring deliveries attract a handling and packaging surcharge. The surcharge is dependent on delivery destination and quantity. The surcharge detailed below is per 30square metres or part thereof

  • Cape Town - R125
  • Gauteng & Durban - R165
  • All other Cities - R265
  • Remote deliveries - tbc

By way of example, for delivery of 45sqm to Gauteng a handling charge of R450 (2x R225) would apply.

SHIPPING POLICY ON RETURNS

Should you wish to return an item, our shipping policy on returns is as follows:

  • Please notify us within 7 days of receiving the item.
  • A collection fee of R265 (incl VAT) will be applied to the return.
    • The collection fee may be paid by the customer; or,
    • The collection fee will be deducted from any refunds that may be payable
  • Airloom reserves the right to re-quote the collection fee based on:
    • The number of items in the return
    • The weight of the return
    • The dispatch location of the return

THIRD PARTY COURIER

Airloom uses a door-to-door service via a 3rd party courier. This means that the shipment is delivered to the address, not the person. 

We strongly discourage our courier partners from entering the delivery residence. Our rugs can be heavy and cumbersome - please allow for this when you receive the package. Please note that our courier partners are not expected to move furniture and/or install the product.
