Cape Town Creative Academy student, Jané Louw, gives some insight into her 'Pond Life' Collection of rugs. "Children interact with their surroundings in a way that indulges in fantasy. Some of the most fun I had as a child was imagining that the floor was lava with my brother and hopping between the furniture... This led me to question how I could create a rug that prompts more imaginative play in children's lives. I think the pond allows us to imagine different worlds in our surroundings and engage in storytelling, while encouraging games of discovery, counting and memorisation."
